Without hesitation Birgit took over the honorary management of our club canteen in 2009; in a club of about 300 members, one team playing in the first league, over 15 youth teams, regular, all-day youth tournaments and big club events this job is a continuous mission on almost every weekend throughout the season. Due to her great commitment the assortment of the canteen was expanded to attract more people into the sports hall.
Thanks to her strong team spirit we could also win her for 2 years as head of our WHA women's team playing in the first league. In our fast-moving time volunteering is no longer self-evident - Birgit was one of the big exceptions and we are very grateful to her.
